Search of premises for drug offences
A search for an alleged narcotics offence usually catches those affected unprepared. Ask to see the search warrant (§ 105 StPO), stay calm and make no statement on the matter.
Your rights
You must tolerate the search but need not speak. A record must be made of seized items; you may object to a seizure. The review of data carriers is subject to § 110 StPO.
Defence
We examine the lawfulness of the search – unlawful measures can lead to bans on using the evidence. See our search emergency help.
